BIZOT (Pierre). Histoire métallique de la République de Hollande. Amsterdam, Pierre Mortier, 1688-1690. 3 volumes in-8, brown calf, ornate spine, red speckled edges (period binding). Second edition, partly original. Frontispiece repeated in each volume, 2 portraits and numerous plates of medals and 100 figures in the text. The first edition appeared in Paris in 1685, in folio format. The third volume, published two years after the first two, is the work of Ouaden, and forms a supplement containing the Theater of Honor of the country's heroes, with numerous reproductions of their tombs. Slight difference in the decoration of the binding of Volume III.
