COUSIN (Jean). Livre de perspective. Paris, Jean Le Royer, 1560. In-folio, soft vellum (contemporary binding). First edition of Jean Cousin's first work. A very rare and important treatise, presenting the sum of contemporary knowledge in drawing and perspective. A very wide-margined copy in its first binding, with stained and creased vellum. Incomplete of the title and part of the frontispiece frame (f. A2), and leaves A5, L2, L3, Q2 and Q3. Edges of leaves a little rubbed.
