DESCARTES (René). Metaphysical meditations on the first philosophy. Paris, Henry le Gras, 1661. In-4, pebbled calf, spine decorated with small irons, edges speckled with red (Period binding). Second edition, revised and corrected by Clerselier, the translator, and enlarged with a version of a letter from the author to Father Dinet. (Tchemerzine, t. II, p. 782.) Old handwritten bookplate on title. Several sections browned. Restorations to binding (upper hinge, spine, headpieces and corners).
