LUYNES (Duke Albert de). Mémoire sur le sarcophage et l'inscription funéraire d'Esmunazar, roi de Sidon. Paris, Henri Plon, 1856. Large in-4, publisher's printed boards. First edition, with 2 plates, one of which folds out. Monograph on the sarcophagus of Eshmounazor II, king of the Sidonians, discovered in 1855 by the Duc de Luynes (1802-1867) in an ancient necropolis near Sidon in Lebanon. The sarcophagus is now in the Louvre. Restoration to boards, spotting to covers.
