ROSTAND (Edmond). L'Aiglon. Drama in six acts in verse. Paris, Fasquelle, 1900. In-8, morocco, inner frame decorated with imperial emblems, khaki moire lining and endpapers, gilt head, untrimmed, Lalique embossed cover (Combe). First edition, decorated with a portrait of Sarah Bernhardt by Louise Abbema and an added portrait of the author. One of 170 copies on japon, this one enriched with an autograph letter from the actress (2 pages in-12). Spine and top of boards completely faded.
