Autograph text signed by Cioran: One rightly wonders what one is looking for among this band of monkeys. Enclosed is an autograph postcard by Julien Gracq depicting the bridge at Saint-Florent-le-Vieil:... I knew Cioran a little, and had dinner or lunch with him three or four times. He was an engaging man, more amused than this valley of tears would seem to be, and of course a writer of the highest order.
