BELLMER, Hans. 8 GLASS PLATE PHOTOGRAPHS. 1942–1946. 18 x 13 cm, in a Guilleminot box. The set was sent to Pierre Andrieu, with whom Bellmer maintained a correspondence that often concerned his work as an engraver. 8 glass plate photographs by Bellmer produced by the Guilleminot company, renowned for manufacturing photographic chemicals such as glass plates. The box bears Bellmer’s autograph inscription. The photographs depict Bellmer’s early etchings; the first is from 1942.
