LARGE TIGER'S EYE FREE FORM MONOLITH Mount... - Lot 150 - Giquello
LARGE TIGER'S EYE FREE FORM MONOLITH Mount Brockman Station, Pilbara, Western Australia Found only in Western Australia, Marra Mamba Tiger's Eye was formed by processes that began over two and a half billion years ago! Unlike the more common form of tiger's eye, the bands of silky golden tiger's eye, strong red jasper, and metallic black hematite are not so tightly compressed together, and the cut and polished slabs or boulders of this mineral display greens and blues not present in the more common variety. This is an uncommonly beautiful specimen which proudly displays a large thick band of bright golden yellow tiger’s eye up the center of this towering monolithic free-form boulder. The entire piece is a riot of gorgeous swirling color with a sense of liquidity, of one mineral flowing into another. It has been hand polished to a high luster and measures 35 inches tall. Comes complete with a lovely hand carved and polished custom base of Australian hardwood.
