TRIPS AROUND MY GARDEN. Paris, Curmer and Lecou, 1851. Large in-8, blue half-maroquin with corners, back decorated with gold fleurons and mosaics, gold head, untrimmed, cover and back (V. Champs). FIRST PRINTING. 8 beautiful colored flower plates, each with a snake bearing the printed caption, and numerous woodcut vignettes in the text or full page from Freeman, Marvy, Steinheil, Meissonnier, Gavarni, Daubigny and Catenacci. The boards, of a beautiful colour, have remained very fresh. THE BOARDS ARE IN BLACK ON CHINA GLUE, AND IN COLOUR. Slightly soiled cover.
