Five letters about the Quiberon disaster by... escaped the massacre Paris, Delaforest, 1826 La Chouannerie and Quiberon narrated by a witness, at the arms of the Count of Chambord Original edition. Large in-8 (215 x 125mm). Typographical mark on the title page. Period binding. Red morocco spine with corners, royal coat of arms in the center of the covers, gilt fillets, spine with gilt ribs, marbled edges. Provenance: Henri-Charles d'Artois, duke of Bordeaux, count of Chambord (1820-1883; arms: Olivier-Hermal-de Rotton pl. 2557, iron 2, and library number). Louis Levicomte de la Villegourio (1775-1855), took part, with his elder brother Joseph, in the landing of Quiberon in 1795.
