Melayer carpet (cotton warp and weft, wool pile), Northwest Persia, circa 1930-1960 145 x 104 cm The carpet is decorated with a large ivory hooked medallion enhanced by a double red and blue octagon, prolonged by two pendants on a plain midnight blue background and a blue background with small floral motifs. A red border with geometric flower garland surrounds the composition (Wear, fraying and damaged edges)
