It belongs to the Chinesco style, a name given for its stylistic analogy with oriental art. Sometimes also called Lagunillas, this style is divided into five types defined by Hasso Von Winning. This beautiful statue, by its large size, belongs to type A. Naked, with her body covered with body paint, she wears large bracelets, numerous earrings and a nose ornament. Her hands rest on her belly. Her rectangular face and her hair marked by fine parallel engravings make her a characteristic example of this type. Placed next to the dead man, she was there to accompany him on his journey into the underworld. ? This lot is a temporary import
