In-4, red morocco, triple gilt fillet, coat of arms in the center, ornate spine, green title page, interior roulette, gilt edges (Binding of the period). First edition of this epidemiological monograph, accompanied by a folding table. It was published by order of the government, at the expense of the king (Frère, t. II, p. 212 - Blake, p. 265). Louis Lépecq de La Clôture (1736-1804), a physician from Normandy, travelled through Normandy for several years to collect the observations necessary for the writing of his works. No other region of France had been so thoroughly investigated from an epidemiological point of view. In this work, he mainly lists numerous patients suffering from putrid-verminous, putrid-exanthematous and pestilential fever in Gros-Theil in Roumois, Louviers and in the prisons of the Palace of Rouen. A fine copy in morocco with the arms of Armand-Thomas Hue, marquis de Miromesnil (1723-1796), first president of the parliament of Normandy (1757) and keeper of the Seals. The copy of the Collection d'observations sur les maladies et constitutions épidémiques by the same author (1778), with the arms of the same minister, was in the Gaulard library (I, 2019, n°7). Some fine restorations to the binding, notably on the edge of the upper cover.
