La Jaquerie, féodales scenes, followed by La Famille de Carvajal, drama. Paris, Brissot-Thivars [Imprimerie de Balzac], 1828. In-8, bradel buff paper-covered boards, smooth spine decorated with gilded fillets, blue speckled edges (Binding of the period). First edition, printed on Balzac's press. It is perhaps the only important romantic work, not illustrated, to come out of Balzac's press, with Vigny's Cinq-Mars (1827) (Carteret) From the library of the Viscount of Vaufreland, with engraved armorial bookplate. Small ring on the upper edge of the last table leaf. Small paper tears on the spine.
