Antoine Parent (1660-1726), a French mathematician and physicist, is known in the history of mathematics for his work in three-dimensional analytical geometry (Smith, History of Mathematics, vol. I, pp. 471-472). Binding rubbed with small lack on the second cover and on the upper cover, crack on one of the spine.
