FRENCH REVOLUTION. - Complete collection of historical tables of the French Revolution. Paris, Auber, Printed by Didot aîné and finished by Charles, Year XIII of the French Republic, 1804. 3 volumes in-folio, fawn calf, gilt roulette in frame, smooth spine of red long-grained morocco decorated with gilt, interior roulette, gilt edges (Binding of the time). Important publication, both textually and iconographically, tracing the various historical events of the French Revolution. The illustration, engraved on copper by Choffart, Coigny, Duplessi-Bertaux, Pauquet, Pillement, etc., includes 3 frontispieces, 154 plates engraved in intaglio (including the engraved text plate accompanying plate n°123 of the assignats) and 66 portraits representing the most important characters of this period, from Louis XVI to Napoleon. Each portrait is engraved in medallion and followed by a biographical text engraved on the same sheet. A nicely bound copy of the period, in calf with red morocco spine. Engraved armorial bookplate of the Count of Taillepied de Bondy. Scattered foxing, wetness affecting the edge of the first 25 leaves of volume I. Rubbing to the binding.
