Dream of a little girl who wanted to enter the Carmel. Paris, Éditions du Carrefour, 1930. In-4, light grey box, boards decorated with a large rosette with grey oculus standing out on a circle of white box, formed by eight branches of black box partitioned in hollow in which are repeated in an alternating manner two glued images, smooth spine, full title stamped on several lines, grey nubuck lining and endpapers, cover and spine, gilt edges, half-box folder and slipcase (Leroux 1990) First edition, decorated with 80 reproductions of collages by Max Ernst. One of the copies on tinted vellum paper. Precious copy of the surrealist artist Meret Oppenheim (1913-1985), offered by Max Ernst with this autograph pencil letter: Dear little Méret / I could not wait for you / I leave you my works / half-complete / I like you, I like you / M. Writer and painter of the Surrealist movement, Meret Oppenheim (1913-1985) was the muse of Max Ernst, whom she met in Paris at the same time as Breton, Duchamp, Giacometti and Man Ray, of whom she was one of the models. One of her emblematic works is the sculpture-assemblage Déjeuner en fourrure. Interesting binding by Georges Leroux. From the Marc Litzler library (2019, n°160).
