[GRAEVIUS]. Thesaurus Antiquitatum et Historiarum Italiae... Leiden, Pierre Vander Aa, s.d. Together 12 pieces in 2 volumes in-folio, half tan basane, spine decorated with grotesque (Binding of the end of the XIXth century). These separate texts on the history, arts, culture or archaeology of Italy are part of the monumental work of Graevius, published in Leiden in 30 volumes between 1709 and 1730 according to Brunet. Among the most interesting treatises presented here are Boscha's De origine et statu bibliothecae ambrosianae, Pietro Azaro's Chronicon gestorum in Lombardia, Pingon's Augustae Taurinorum (with a full-page figure relating to the library of Turin), Flori's De bello italico et rebus gallorum, and Giarda's Liberalium disciplinarum icones symbolicae bibliothecae alexandrinae. Spine faded, scuffing, and small tears to the headpieces. Attached, by the same author: Thesaurus Antiquitatum Romanorum. Volumen septimum. Venice, Pasquali, 1735. In-folio, half vellum of the XIXth century. Volume 7, out of 28 in this edition, illustrated with about 60 large vignettes in the text and 18 copper-engraved plates. Paper yellowed in places. Worn binding, tears and missing covers.
