ANGOULÊME Louis-Antoine d'Artois, duc d'. (1775-1844).
Duke of Angouleme, eldest son of Charles d'Artois, future Charles X. L.A.S. to the duke of Piennes. Warsaw, December 9, 1802. 1 pp. in-4; two tears, one of them with damage to the text. Nice emigration letter in which the prince learns that the duke is going to leave England to join him and takes the opportunity to charge him with some commissions "[...] Knowing your kindness, I beg you to ask the duke of Gramont as well as Dutheil, if they have nothing to give you for me [...]. I will also be infinitely obliged to you to bring me four or five pretty dresses made of cloth or something else you choose; whatever is prettiest and most fashionable. I will reimburse you here what it will cost you, or Dutheil will reimburse you in London, at your choice [...]". He passes on the good memories of his wife Marie-Thérèse de France.
