CAMPAN Jeanne-Louise Genet dite Madame (1752-1822)
Reader of Mesdames filles de Louis XV, secretary and confidante of Marie-Antoinette, teacher and pedagogue, directed the House of Education of the Legion of Honor in Ecouen. L.A.S. Ecouen, April 29, 1813. 3 pp. bifeuillet in-4. These criticisms are made in the society without any sparing when the author is not there, and I find that the concern of similar remarks, is a tribute rather than a criticism [...]". He obtained the best notations (sic) from the Duke of Rovigo, Minister of the General Police, on his work as Special Commissioner. It has been more than three years since he worked under the orders of Cte de M* [...]. The Emperor assured him that his son would soon have a new promotion [...]". She concludes about Mme de Cambise who lost her sister
