DUMAS (fils) Alexandre (1824-1895).
L.A.S. (s.l.) April 19, 63. 4 pp. in-8. Beautiful and interesting letter written after the reading of the work of his correspondent "This is the way in which one must plead the causes [...] Why has this way of defending our national glories not been commonly adopted? That would have been better than to go always advocating France, exalting it at all times, in a blind and insane way, and denigrating foreigners unceasingly, for lack of understanding them [...]" he continues on Anglophobia which he describes as nonsense and being part of our failings and concludes "My conviction is indeed that poetry (nowadays especially) does not dispense from the truth. [...]".
