Prayer rug from the East Caucasus, Dagestan region Interesting prayer rug whose ivory field is adorned with a multitude of stylized decorative motifs: small flowers, tangas, jewels and other geometric patterns set in a latticework, surmounted by a mihrab, adorned at its center with a "comb", an indispensable weaving instrument, whose outline is decorated with a series of small multicolored flowers and framed by two hands. It is framed by a wide border, with stylized polychrome double "S", inscribed between two navy blue counter-borders with multicolored geometric garlands.
