ARTAUD Antonin. AUTOGRAPH LETTER WITH INK SKETCH. Saint-Paul, September 21, 1933. 2 pages in-8 in ink (edges faded). Artaud has never hidden his interest in religions, including Hinduism. He contradicts the addressee of his letter and proposes his own key: "You must at last realize that you have interpreted until now almost in defiance of common sense, because you have lacked the key. In his trident-shaped sketch, he places Shiva, the destructive and regenerative god, on the same plane as Vishnu, the conservative god, and Brahma, the Hindu creator god above him. A rare document.
