BACON Francis. - Lot 51
BACON Francis. AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED to Philip MORDUE. London, February 18, 1982. One and a half pages in-4 in felt pen, envelope retained. Autograph letter in English signed to Philip Mordue. In this letter, Bacon mentions John; he is John Edwards, a young companion of Bacon's, whom he met in 1976, and to whom Bacon bequeathed his entire estate, including his art collection, upon his death in 1992. Philip Mordue was to become John Edwards' companion. A rare document.
