AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED TO Louise COLET. December 9, 1853. 3 pages in-8.
Beautiful letter addressed to his mistress Louise Colet ... Do you know that you end up worrying me with your physical illnesses... I don't believe in medicine at all, but in certain doctors... ... I'm cluttered with so many notes, letters and papers that I don't recognize myself anymore. So the day after tomorrow, without fail, I'm going to stir up the dung of my life. What garbage I'm going to find there (because I haven't burnt any papers up to now). It's going to be a long job! But I'm sure I'll learn things I've forgotten...
