SALMON André. - Lot 284
SALMON André.
2 AUTOGRAPH LETTERS SIGNED WITH ORIGINAL DRAWINGS in ink, to Pedro Victor FLORES. Paris, July 10 and 12, 1947. 2 pages in-4 on Gründ bookshop letterhead.
Two delightful letters illustrated with drawings to the Spanish painter Pedro Flores, whom André Salmon introduced to France. The drawings are inspired by paintings by famous artists: I wanted to believe that the luminous saucers that appeared in the sky were images of lotuses promising peace... Thinking of you, I'll write on a wall in Gongora with us! Tell Anita that Brittany is getting ready to celebrate the centenary of Tristan Corbière (from Roscoff), the great marine poet, 2 years late.
