Pair of large decorative ewers in richly carved alabaster. Circular pedestal on square base. The ovoid body is carved on the front with a flower bowl flanked by flowering branches, between two wide acanthus friezes. The neck has an animal mouth pouring spout and a swan-neck handle with leafy attachments. Italy, Volterra, 19th century. H. 116 cm - L. 41 cm (One handle and one pedestal in plaster, chips) They are presented on a straight alabaster doucine base (one with onyx plaque). H. 174 cm - W. 30 cm - D. 23 cm
