Fighting club Fiji Islands Wood H. 78 cm Provenance : - Atelier Edouard Goerg, Ribeyre & Baron, March 27, 2017 - Private collection, Paris Totokia-type club carved from hardwood, consisting of a slightly curved stick ending in a star-shaped bulge evoking the fruit of the pandanus tree. The weapon's blunt tip, inspired in principle by a bird's beak, is more reminiscent of a phallus. Remains of fiber ornaments on the handle.
