1 title-frontispiece designed by Pierre Paul Rubens and engraved in intaglio by Corneille Galle and 144 large full-page medallions of woodcut portraits of emperors and rulers printed on sepia backgrounds, 10 blank woodcut medallions. Some figures are double-numbered: LXXXVII/LXXXVIII; XCVIII/XCIX; C/CI; CXI/CXII; CXVI/CXVII; CXVIII/CXIX; CXXXI/CXXXII; while 10 numbered medallion leaves remain blank: n° CXXII, CXXIII, CXXVI, CXXIX, CXXXIIII, CXXXV, CXXXVIII, CXXXIX, CXLIX, as in the other copies consulted.
CONTEMPORARY BINDING. Marbled fawn calf, double cold fillet, spine ribbed and decorated, red edges.
