CHAISSAC Gaston ORIGINAL INK DRAWINGS ON POSTER AND AUTOGRAPHIC LETTER SIGNED. 79 x 34.5 cm, under glass. On a torn poster bearing the printed words: Dimanche 30 juillet 1950 Saint-Hilaire de Riez - Inauguration (the rest is illegible), Gaston Chaissac has drawn in ink 3 characters whose faces are surrounded by their names and addresses: Monsieur M. Pfeiffer 19 rue des Boulangers à Paris 5e, Monsieur Rossignol 66 rue Saint-Didier à Paris 16e, Monsieur Robert Michaud 39 rue des Combes à Limoges (Haute Vienne) (Chaissac used the dot of the i from the poster for the nose); the face of a fourth character is housed in the C of Sunday, which constitutes his hair. On verso, autograph letter from Sainte Florence de l'Oie on Saturday, to Dear Sir: One must be careful not to neglect recovering as much as possible in these expensive times, so I noticed in the street where it was lying this remnant of a poster that had announced Thorez's inauguration of a summer camp at Saint-Hilaire de Riez.
