CLAUDE FRANCOIS (1939-1978) - Lot 14
CLAUDE FRANCOIS (1939-1978) A legendary Camps de Luca silver lamé stage costume, worn by the singer during numerous concerts in April and May 1975. Made in the Camps de Luca workshops in Paris, with the designer’s signature on the inside of the jacket. With large pastilles and synthetic stones on the lapels and along the legs. Claude François was particularly fond of this very first silver suit, made in four but with different motifs on the lapels. For the anecdote, during a show, at the moment of the finale, 2 rockets of his traditional fireworks fell on his legs, burning the lamé trousers in two places which explains the repairs made to the costume trousers. The following year, Cloclo resigned himself to offering it to a reader, the winner of a competition organised by his monthly magazine Podium. This was a historic piece, as it was one of only four copies used on stage by the singer during this period. Fine condition. A certificate from Fabien Lecoeuvre will be given to the buyer. Provenance: - Close collaborator of the singer - Bought in the early 80's
