Attributed to Elisabeth de France (1764-1794), known as "Madame Elisabeth". Portrait of a young girl, in bust, wearing a hat, face to the left Sanguine on laid paper On the back, several annotations by different hands dating from the 19th century: "Dessin fait par Mme Elisabeth de France dans sa première jeunesse" "donné à ma grand-mère de Pardailhan, née de Vinfrais / B[ar]on de Treil de Pardailhan" "Très précieux / dessin de Mme Elisabeth". The second annotation is by Louis Charles Arthur de Treil de Pardailhan (1836-1909), whose father Joseph-Louis-Alexandre (1785-1859) was "maître de l'hôtel" to King Louis XVIII. The grandmother mentioned was Jeanne Charlotte Gautier de Vinfrais (1758-1844), daughter of a Porte-Arquebuse in the "Maison du Comte de Provence", which became the "Maison de Monsieur, Frère du Roi" in 1771. She married Thomas François de Treil de Pardailhan (1754-1822), musketeer, then Maître d'hôtel to the King, then deputy of Paris in 1791. 25 x 19 cm
