Kachina au Hochet en Folie (Crazy Rattle) appears in Danses Mixtes. She carries a bow and arrow. She dances energetically to the sound of the rattle from which she takes her name.
The dance of this Kachina spirit is a prayer for abundant food and the renewal of the seasons.
This sculpture, with its bulging eyes and powerful torso, stands out for its assertive character and vivid colors.
