Silver head-centered dish Balkans, Armenian or Greek work, 18th century, Ottoman Empire D. 15 cm The umbilicus of this dish features the head of a bearded figure, probably representing Christ, with his beard and hair braided in the manner of seraphim wings in Kütahya ceramics. The cavet is decorated with animals in cartouches: birds, deer, felines and fantastical animals.
