Silver and vermeil hammam heap Ottoman Empire, 18th century D. 16.5 cm - Weight : 295.20 g This hammam heap is in silver, with thick gilding on the inside. The umbilicus is finely chased with a decoration of alternating leaf scrolls forming a rosette around a floret and a frieze of petals. The absence of a hallmark, counterbalanced by the weight, quality and visible age of the object, suggest that it was made for the court.
