Rare ibrik ewer in leather Leather, coral-colored pearl Turkey, 16th century H. 21 and 14 cm These two pear-shaped brown leather ewers are made of assembled leather panels, the seams of which form friezes of vertical chains. They feature a sinuous leather handle. The largest has a lid decorated with an applied flower topped with a coral-colored pearl. Light and easy to use, objects of this shape have rarely survived, unlike ceramic or metal ewers.
