Ottoman candlestick Cast brass Turkey, 16th century H.25,7 cm (accident to neck, small deformation and crack to base) The flared base of this cast brass candlestick is topped by a concave drip tray, to the center of which is fixed a shaft adorned with two rings, and topped by a flared neck. Its simple, elegant decoration consists of a few engraved concentric lines, alternating with rings in relief all over the surface. A similar piece is in the Victoria & Albert Museum, no. 931-1884.
