The water vase of this Ottoman hookah is in colorless crystal, decorated with wheel-cut and enameled polychrome and gold garlands, arabesques and foliage on a white background. The partly gilded shaft consists of a square fluted base, topped by a flared neck with a decoration evoking basketwork, and a pipe mouth forming a flower, all topped by a three-dimensional bouquet of flowers housing the flared stove. It is marked with the tughra of Abdulhamid II and a sah hallmark.
