Rare blue opaline covered vase decorated with cut and gilded floral motifs Opaline and gold Beykoz, 19th century Total height 24 cm (Minor wear to gilding) This piriform glassware with sinuous handle is made of blue glass with engraved and gilded foliage and flower motifs. The lid is decorated with engraved and gilded leaf motifs, including on the knob. The particularly fine opaline color and the fine wheel-cut decoration make this piece a very fine example of Beykoz glassmaking in Istanbul.
