Set of 20 Indian chess pieces Red and green tinted ivory India, Vizagapatam, circa 1800 Height of the largest 14 cm Total weight: 257 g This set comprises eleven slender, delicately carved chess pieces in red-tinted ivory, and nine green pieces. A group of ten ivory pieces of comparable typology is preserved at the Metropolitan Museum and dated 18th/19th century (inv. n°48.174.37a-p, aa-pp). CITES certificate issued on 17/11/2023
