Important tufenk rifle Wood with ivory micro-inlays, stained ivory, and brass, gold-damascened steel, silver Turkey, 18th century, Ottoman Empire Length 118 cm Ottoman tufenk-type rifle, in wood with a profusion of ivory and green-tinted ivory inlays and brass micro-inlays, all forming festoons, geometrical motifs and a multitude of small radiating stars, on the cutaway stock. There are also inlays of openwork silver plates forming festoons. The miquelet system and barrel are in gold damascened steel. The barrel is adorned with three engraved silver nasturtiums. The typology of this tufenk and the decorative techniques used are typical of 18th and 19th century Turkish production. CITES certificate issued 24/11/2023
