Khanjarli Steel partly inlaid with silver, ivory, silver South India, Vizianagram or Orissa, 17th century Length 35 cm Weight: 444.9g The handle of this khanjarli is adorned with four ivory plates fixed on either side of the steel tang by silver nails in the form of florets. The guard branch is silver damascened and its curved end forms a flower bud concealed between the two ivory plates. The silver damascened flowers continue on the blade, on the center finial and on the heel reinforcement. The blade is steel, curved, double-edged and with four gutters.
