Dha handle representing a mythical creature Ivory Burma, 18th/19th century 10 x 3.3 cm Weight : 67,8g Carved from ivory, this handle belonged to a traditional Burmese sword called a dha. It was very common in this period to see animals or fantastical creatures adorning these handles. A dha with a similar handle, dating from the 18th century, is kept at the Metropolitan Museum under inventory number 36.25.998. CITES certificate issued on 17/11/2023
