Carved walnut Virgin and Child with traces of polychromy and gilding, hollowed back. Standing with a long, lanky barrel, Mary carries the Child (no longer present) on her right side; her head is crowned with a crown of wavy hair framing her face; she is dressed in a dress with a square neckline highlighted by a row of pearls, the lower edge adorned with cabochons, and an open cloak. Middle Rhine, early 16th century H. 99 cm (missing parts, notably the Child, worm holes)
