Maximilian-style armet Germany, c. 1530 H. 30 cm- L. 22 cm Maximilian-type close helmet, Germany, c. 1530 H. 11 13/16 in - W. 8 3/4 in 297 CH Maximilian-style armlet, consisting of a fluted stamp surmounted by a low crest with a corded motif, pierced with double holes for the laces of the internal trim. The crest is pierced to hold a crest. A large diamond-shaped plate at the top bears witness to a later restoration, probably in the 19th century. The chinrest is pierced with seven holes on each side for hearing, and the pointed, single-bellow mezail is pierced with a two-slot view and multiple breathing holes. The mezail pivots, the hooks closing the chinstrap and the three gorgerin plates are modern restorations. Good overall condition, with a number of old corrosion accidents and restored elements.
