I, p. 581 for the original edition One of many editions of this treatise by Federico Grisone, a Neapolitan equerry and one of the most famous figures of the Italian Renaissance, considered in his day to be the father of horsemanship. His work is the first of all modern equestrian literature, laying the foundations of riding school and outdoor riding, and covering the training and breaking-in of horses. Small pink spot of mildew in lower margin of leaves. L'Écurie. Mennessier de la Lance. I. p. 580 Partly first edition of the French translation of the previous work.
