They were immediately acquired by Major Gustave Björnstierna (Regensburg 1783-1840 Münster), commander of the regiment's second battalion. Of Swedish origin, he had taken part in the campaigns against Napoleon as an officer in the Prussian army, and had received several serious wounds. He held the following orders: Knight of the Iron Cross, Order of the Swedish Sword, Order of Merit of Sweden, Order of Saint Anne of Russia... The kettledrum and plate later passed to his brother Magnus, and remained in the Bjönstierna family through descent. The family sold the kettledrum privately at an unknown date in the past (around 1980). The soup plate was auctioned at Bukowski's in Stockholm on October 28, 1985. Exhibition: This timbale was part of the exhibition "Quand Bonaparte devint Napoléon" at Wasquehal from January 31 to February 22, 2004. Exhibition curator Bernard Croissy 2004, p. 45, cat. 45, ill.
