They live on the Jos plateau, at the junction of the Niger and Benoue rivers. Witness to this culture, this Koro statue represents an anthropomorphic figure standing upright. The features are minimalist. Volumes are pure. Geometric decoration is finely incised on the torso and arms. A sagittal crest overhangs the head. A large rectangular bowl takes the place of the abdomen, forming a container for millet beer or palm wine.
