DIORAMA. - Wooden box covered with blue moiré paper (size 31 - Lot 16
DIORAMA. - Wooden box covered with blue moiré paper (size 31 x 49.5 x 14.5 cm), with 14 elements lithographed in color and mounted on strong cardboard. S.l.n.d. [second half of the 19th century]. Create a lovely diorama of the ocean with these 14 movable elements: 7 large waves for the decor, resting on a metal rod and wooden structure, and 7 others to arrange as desired, representing boats, rowboats with people on board, a whale and a large sea lizard. The resulting scene is brought to life by a simple rocking motion on the waves. Small chips on the box.
