ATLAS. - FER (Nicolas de). L'Atlas curieux ou Le Monde dressé et dédié à Nosseigneurs les enfans de France. S.d. [c. 1717]. Oblong folio, pebbled calf, handwritten title label on the first plate (dated 1723), ornate spine, red title-pieces (contemporary binding). Only the second part of this fully engraved atlas, comprising a title-frontispiece, a table leaf, 4 others for "tables of longitudes and latitudes of the principal cities whose positions are certain", and 131 plans and maps, most with engraved descriptions on a separate leaf. Descriptions of L'Escurial, the plan of Palma and the kingdom of Naples appear to be missing. Some maps or leaves foxed, crease on title-frontispiece. Edge of 2 plates reinforced. Binding worn and worn.
